The Way of the Cross allows every believer to live that part of salvation history that is fundamental to understanding how he loves God. If we were to stop at the mere description of the stations, we would be faced with a dramatic historical story that speaks of unspeakable suffering inflicted on an innocent person. The eyes of faith, instead, know how to go further.
At each station, the believer touches the way of God’s love, which is not withdrawn in front of anything, even violent death, to reveal his merciful love that goes to everyone without excluding anyone.
